I have eight cats…so I have a lot of experience with catnip.

Years ago, I used to buy cheap, regular catnip at any of the “big box” stores. Then I started learning more and more about organic products vs. conventional products and thought I would apply that info to catnip as well.

I bought my first small bag of organic catnip over 12 years ago. Wow! What a difference! Now I only buy organic catnip. Why? Because the organic catnip is so much more potent! I can use a small amount of organic catnip and my cats will go crazy (literally) over it. So even though organic catnip may cost a little more, you actually use less of it than the regular stuff.

Plus, there is the added benefit to the environment of organically grown catnip – no toxic herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers ever used. Only good, healthy, organic fertilizers are used, which is what makes organic catnip so much better, stronger, healthier than the regular stuff.

So when you’re buying catnip to fill your new Pouncin’ Pouch toy, look for the organic label – your cats (and the environment) will thank you for it.
